Job Summary

Leading hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations, clinical standards, and day-to-day nursing services within a hospital or designated clinical department. The role requires a strong nursing leader with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary nursing teams, ensuring high standards of patient care, and supporting operational and quality objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to staff development, clinical governance, patient safety, and continuous improvement across nursing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, and workforce allocation.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and compliance with clinical standards.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development of nursing staff.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nurse leaders and clinical nursing teams.
• Coordinate with physicians, allied health professionals, and hospital leadership.
• Manage staffing requirements and support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
• Address clinical and operational issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, accreditation activities, and clinical governance.
• Monitor nursing resources, equipment, and departmental requirements.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review nursing reports, performance metrics, and operational updates for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field is preferred.
• Recognized postgraduate nursing qualification and CCT or equivalent Western qualification.
• Valid professional nursing registration in the country of practice.
• Significant post-qualification nursing experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience as a Nurse Manager, Nursing Director, Head Nurse, or similar senior nursing leadership role.
• Strong experience in hospital-based nursing operations and multidisciplinary team management.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage a diverse nursing workforce in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong commitment to professional nursing standards and continuous development.
