Summary:

Presbyterian Rust Medical Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Nurse Manager to lead our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, driving quality outcomes, supporting staff development, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.

The Nurse Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team, partnering with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient experiences, operational efficiency, and outstanding clinical outcomes.

In this role, the nurse leader will assist the Department Director in planning, directing and coordinating the operational, financial and personnel activities of the designated departments. Provides clinical and operational leadership for areas assigned

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of registered nurses and support staff.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and department resources.
• Promote evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor quality metrics, patient safety indicators, and patient satisfaction scores.
• Foster employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery and outcomes.
• Drive strategic initiatives, process improvement projects, and operational excellence efforts.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required

Education: BSN required

BLS required.
