100% FTE, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Lead the planning and opening of a new General Care Pediatric unit and provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Pediatric Float Pool, supporting care for patients from newborn through adolescence.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for pediatric procedure services, directing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care programs to achieve high-quality clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Lead workforce and budget management efforts, including staffing (FTE oversight), budget preparation, and fiscal accountability, while fostering staff retention and a supportive professional work environment.
  • Drive quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction through effective procedures, and continuous quality control measures.
  • Lead daily operations and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow, effective communication, and a team-based environment that supports safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN). Required
  • Master of Science – Nursing (MSN) or MS in relevant area. Preferred

Work Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience. Required
  • Three (3) years of progressive leadership experience. Required
  • Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within same or relevant practice area. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • RN Licensed in State of Wisconsin. Required
  • Certification in relevant specialty. Preferred
