Nurse Manager - Heart & Vascular Interventional Services department (HVIS)

Full-Time | Day Shift Position

Newark, DE

ChristianaCare Health System is seeking a Nurse Manager for our Heart & Vascular Interventional Services department (HVIS). The Nurse Manager will oversee the Cardiac Cath Lab, Neuro-Interventional Lab, Vascular Interventional Radiology and the Electrophysiology Lab. In this role, the Nurse Manager will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to adult and geriatric patients, including the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs.

  • Assure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

  • Identify priorities of management responsibilities and demonstrates the ability to delegate.

  • Develop and maintain method to ensure patient satisfaction on assigned unit.

  • Perform routine patient rounds to establish visibility, teamwork, and monitoring the level of care/practice.

  • Remain cognizant of risk management issues and takes appropriate measures to correct.

  • Support and communicate Department of Nursing and unit-based PI initiatives.

  • Lead nursing practice and care delivery in designated unit.

  • Promote the autonomy of the nursing staff, encouraging independent decision making and problem solving.

  • Support and maintain shared decision-making on unit.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

  • Completed Master's degree is nursing or alternatively, completed BSN with a Master’s degree in healthcare or business management field required.

  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required.

  • Nurse Executive certification preferred

  • Five years of appropriate leadership experience required

  • Current RN licensure accepted in the state of Delaware required.

  • BLS Certification required.

  • 5 years appropriate clinical experience in Critical Care or Interventional Procedural Lab area required

  • Experience in Interventional labs experience strongly preferred

Annual Compensation Range $121,180.80 - $193,897.60This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
