The Cellular Therapeutics Unit is a new specialized unit and rapidly growing, cutting-edge area of oncology nursing focused on using a patient's own cells, or specially prepared cells, as part of advanced treatment. Therapies will also focus on the use of bispecifics which include ready-to-administer treatments that target a patient's immune T-cells and cancer cells. Nurses in this specialty provide complex clinical care throughout the treatment process, including preparation, administration, and monitoring while applying specialized knowledge to care for patients receiving these highly advanced therapies. These emerging treatments are used for patients with blood cancers and other oncology diagnoses, and other complex diseases as new therapies continue to expand. Nurses build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families, providing education, support, and expert care throughout their treatment journey.

As the Nurse Manager, you will lead a team of highly skilled nurses delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized clinical expertise, build a culture of excellence, and partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, laboratory teams, and other interdisciplinary departments to deliver seamless, patient-centered care. As a leader, you will play a key role in supporting your team's professional growth while contributing to one of the fastest growing and most innovative areas of medicine, helping shape the future of cellular therapy and patient outcomes.

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Supervise caregivers and promote development.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments.
• Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish/revise inventory quotes.
• Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.
• Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Three years of recent nursing clinical experience with at least one year of healthcare management experience
• High degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managed
• Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problems solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Two years healthcare management experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.
• Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.
• Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
