Seeking Nurse Manager!
Full-time (40 Hours Weekly), Days
The Nurse Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll and equipment. They are to provide leadership through communication and relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the health care environment and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed.
The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1), our team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. Our unit is composed both experienced and new graduate nurses; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient centric care. Our team continues building our reputation as a unit everyone wants to be a part of because of teamwork, clinical expertise, and a supportive environment.
Graduate of accredited BSN or MSN program.
Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursuing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years.
Current IN or compact state RN license required.
Three (3) years nursing experience required.
One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferred.
