Our Community-Based Residential Crisis Services Program delivers responsive, person-centered care in partnership with community providers, first responders, and healthcare systems—meeting individuals where they are during their most vulnerable moments.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within our Community-Based Crisis Services Program. In this leadership role, you will guide clinical practice, supervise nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.
The Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Clinical Director of Residential & Outpatient Services, as well as community partners and internal crisis teams, to strengthen service delivery and promote best practices in crisis care.
This role is ideal for a clinically strong, mission-driven nurse leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and is passionate about community-based crisis response.
What You’ll Do
Clinical & Program Leadership
- Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure efficient daily operations of crisis services, including intake, assessment, care planning, stabilization, and discharge processes.
- Deliver direct nursing care and clinical interventions during critical incidents as needed.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to patient care, confidentiality, and program operations.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Lead, supervise, and support nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage, training, and professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a positive, accountable team culture.
Collaboration & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with Mobile Crisis Teams to assess, manage, and respond to behavioral health crises in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community healthcare providers, mental health agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
Data, Reporting & Program Improvement
- Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient outcomes, program efficiency, and community impact.
- Use data to inform program improvements, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
Emergency Preparedness
- Ensure staff are trained and prepared to respond to medical emergencies, psychiatric crises, and trauma situations.
- Participate in emergency response planning and continuous readiness efforts.
