
The Nurse Extern works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing selected and delegated nursing tasks in the care of patients.
Education Required Must be a nursing student attaining senior status in the fall after the summer program. Preferred to have completed at least one acute care clinical, acute care theory class and a pharmacology course.
Credential/Licensure Required CPR Certification required.
Shifts: Various shift options, seeking nursing students for multiple nursing units (Birthing Center, Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and Skilled Nursing Facility).
Shift differentials offered as a percentage of base rate: 10% for PM shift and 17% for night shift.
