MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Educator presents and facilitates Higher Education and Training programmes and courses for Mediclinic students and employees to acquire competence as independent healthcare practitioners. They provide both classroom and practical training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Ensure compliance with Higher Education & Training and American Heart Association (AHA) standards

Design and assess learning materials and interventions

Facilitate the learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation

Coordinate and administer student-related processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Professional / General Nurse qualification

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education

DESIRED EDUCATION

Postgraduate Diploma in a Nursing Speciality (e.g. Emergency Nursing, Health Services Management, Adult Crtical Care, Perioperative Nursing)

SANC registered as an Assessor and Moderator

Master's degree in Nursing

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

5 years’ experience as a Professional / General Nurse

1 year's experience working with higher education and training students
