
The Nurse Clinician for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital Continuity of Care (COC) Program functions as a clinical expert and care coordinator for pediatric patients with special and complex healthcare needs, interfacing with the University of Iowa Children’s Stead Family Hospital faculty and staff from multiple departments/services, patients and families, and referring providers and community agencies/services.
The Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the other COC team members, University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital faculty/staff, patients and families, and external providers/agencies in coordinating the care of designated patients throughout their inpatient admission(s), discharge to home/community agencies, and return to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital for follow-up ambulatory visits.The Nurse Clinician provides services coordination, consultation, and resource and referral assistance; is a liaison between the faculty and staff of the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital inpatient units and various medical/surgical subspecialty clinics, the regional Child Health Specialty clinics, and numerous interdisciplinary community providers/agencies, as well as patients and their families.

Schedule 32 hours per week, M-F, 0730-1600
