Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440

The Nurse B - Stroke Coordinator supports planning, developing, delivering and evaluating services for stroke patients and families whose needs include prevention, emergency, acute care, rehabilitation, or community placement services. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to facilitate and promote internal and external partnerships essential to the delivery of care.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Three years experience working in acute care emergency or ICU setting

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
  • Stroke Assessment course (NIHSS)
  • Swallowing Assessment course
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
