The Clinical Instructor works under the administrative supervision and reports to the Director of Professional Practice. The Clinical Instructor functions as an overall coordinator and resource person for nursing and other clinical employees. In collaboration with the Director of Professional Practice, Directors, Managers and employees, assists in determining clinical employee learning needs, develops, coordinates and delivers educational programming as appropriate. Providing education and support to nursing care providers will be the primary focus of this position. The Clinical Instructor may be required to deliver training in a variety of settings, ranging from a formal classroom environment to point of care on a specific unit.

Experience

  • Previous experience in nursing education is required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in acute care and/or in employee education required

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
