Reporting to the Urban Primary Health Care Manager, the Registered Nurse is an integral member of the primary health care team, providing and coordinating initial, continuing and comprehensive nursing services to patients in the PHC sites. This Registered Nurse promotes quality health care outcomes working within established standards for case management practice. The Registered Nurse initiates and/or participates in community development initiatives and participates in the evaluation of Primary Health Care initiatives within the site.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required
• Experience in case management is an asset
• Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities

Education

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
• Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.

Licenses

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
• Nursing diploma is acceptable

• Community nursing experience is an asset
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Travel required to various community sites within Regina PHC Networks
• Community based position provides services in clinic/home settings in PHC Regina
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work.
• Willing to Travel to rural areas as assigned. Travel allowance provided.
• Home base for this position is: 2180 23rd Avenue (WRC)(Subject to change)
