We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at  Armstrong Creek Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.

The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients, through:

  • Immunisations and other injections,
  • Triage
  • Wound management,
  • Chronic disease management,
  • ECGs
  • Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
  • Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
  • Assisting with telehealth consultations.
  • Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
  • Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
  • Implementing and practicing infection control
  • Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.

Do you have the qualities that we are looking for?

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Working experience in an accredited General Practice environment
  • A caring and collaborative approach to patient care
  • A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism
  • Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
  • Use of Best Practice programs preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments
  • Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.

In addition, the candidate must also provide the following;

  • Current Police Check
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Working with Children clearance
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Immunisation Record
  • Driving licences or photo ID
