Inova Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuc Med Tech) to join the team. We have openings for either full-time or PRN. • Shifts

  • Full-time: Day shift, Monday – Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm will support our Inova Cardiac Diagnostics- Alexandria, located at 4660 Kenmore Ave, Alexandria, VA and may float to any of the locations listed below

  • Part-time:Day shift, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30am to 3pm will support our Inova Cardiac Diagnostics- Alexandria, located at 4660 Kenmore Ave, Alexandria, VA and may float to any of the locations listed below

  • PRN: May support up to 4 locations (listed below) allowing for up to 40 hours per week coverage

  • Inova Cardiac and Vascular Diagnostics - Lansdowne I, located at 44035 Riverside Parkway, Leesburg, VA

  • Inova Cardiac Diagnostics- Alexandria, located at 4660 Kenmore Ave, Alexandria, VA

  • Inova Cardiac Diagnostics- Falls Church, located at 2901 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA

Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuc Med Tech) Job Responsibilities:

• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures.
• Provides clinical services according to Nuclear Medicine practice standards while acting as a resource to Nuclear Medicine students and other technologist.
• Assists the physician in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams while taking appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcome.
• Correctly identifies patients and their files by utilizing electronic medical records and picture archiving/communication systems while ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in related field required.
• Certification:

  • Nuclear Medical Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within one year of hire date.

  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required upon start.

• Experience: Experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Student.
