Could you be the full-time N&T Network Designer in Katowice we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your designer expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.

You'll contribute to the preparing and delivering comprehensive telecommunication transmission solutions within system projects. The role covers the entire lifecycle of a solution – from support during the bidding phase, through design and testing, to final on-site commissioning. This is a design-and-implementation-oriented position requiring close cooperation with other technical teams and external partners.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Cooperate during the bidding and tendering phase in the area of network and telecommunication solutions
  • Develop telecommunication implementation concepts for individual projects
  • Prepare inputs for project documentation, including:
  • network connection diagrams forming part of the detailed design,
  • overall system network plan
  • Design and implementation of modern transmission systems based on the following technologies:
  • MPLS-TP
  • IP/MPLS
  • Selection of network devices in accordance with project requirements and standards
  • Technical cooperation with network equipment vendors
  • Configuration and testing of network devices in a laboratory environment
  • Participation in final commissioning of devices and systems on-site
  • Close cooperation with other company departments (including applications, adaptations, production, and service teams)
  • Implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity requirements defined by the cybersecurity team
  • Management of network addressing for devices used in delivered projects
  • Cooperation with the PKP PLK Telecommunications Office within the scope of assigned tasks
  • Ensuring compliance of solutions with applicable technical and design standards

  • Category B driving license
  • At least 3 years of experience in roles related to:
  • network solution design and/or
  • configuration of network devices
  • Ability to read and interpret network connection diagrams
  • Practical knowledge of networking concepts (topologies, routing, redundancy)
  • Willingness to work on-site (commissioning, testing)
  • Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
  • Openness to learning and implementing new technical solutions
  • Higher technical education (telecommunications, electronics, computer science, or related fields)
  • Experience in infrastructure or system projects
  • Knowledge of railway environments or other critical systems
  • Experience working with CAD environments
