Program Summary
KBR's Exploration & Logistics division delivers full life cycle professional and technical solutions that improve operational readiness and drive innovation. Our solutions help ensure mission success on land, air, sea, space and cyberspace for the Department of Defense, intelligence community, NASA, and other federal agencies. KBR’s areas of expertise include engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity.
KBR provides Contingency Base Operations, Stabilization, and Infrastructure support services under Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain, UAE, Oman, and related task orders.
KBR is seeking an Associate Accountant who will support accounting operations by applying established policies and procedures to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, analyzing balance sheets accounts, and assisting in the preparation of management financial reports.
**This will be an onsite position with fulltime deployment to NSA Bahrain in Manama, Bahrain.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform routine accounting tasks under direct supervision, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and support of monthly and annual close processes.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data while adhering to internal controls and accounting principles.
Develop foundational accounting competencies by applying standard procedures to resolve routine issues and contribute to efficient financial operations.
Collaborate with team members to support reporting requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Entry-level experience in accounting or finance, preferred.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in standard office and accounting software.
Computer skills, including working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in contingency environments as well as knowledge and experience working with government contracts.
