Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and maintaining automated test stations throughout the pump product family. Work includes collaborating with operations and development groups to define test requirements, designing test stations and software, and qualifying test systems.

Typical project work includes:

1) Design and develop automated production test software for next generation products

2) Maintain and continually improve existing test stations

3) Develop automated tools for new and existing products

4) Debug and analyze device test failures

5) Study product performance issues and specifications

6) Manage capacity requests for production test stations

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Software development – 50%

  • Requirements analysis, application architecture, software design & development in a source-controlled environment
  • Testing and validation
  • Test Software release & control documentation & management

Engineering, NPI and Manufacturing Operations Support – 30%

  • Development engineering tools & NPI support
  • Help identify failure modes and resolve test station related issues.
  • Report on projects and make recommendations to upper Management

Report on projects and make recommendations to upper Management – 10%

Special assignments – 10%

  • Support special projects as required.

Education & Experience

  • Object oriented software programming skills with software language such as C# and Python.
  • Test automation development with equipment such as OSA and Source Meter and Digital Multimeters.
  • Be familiar with one of the following databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Have experience in machine vision development and be familiar with the use of Halcon or OpenCV.
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms with an objective to write high-quality software.
  • Best practices for software program design, development, debugging, testing and documentation.
  • Have excellent oral and written English skills
