General Summary:

1. POSITION SUMMARY

The NPI Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end program management of new product introduction, from concept through mass production. This role drives cross-functional alignment across R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Marketing to deliver products on time, within budget, and to quality targets. The role also champions continuous improvement of NPI processes and methodologies.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Planning & Execution

  • Define and maintain the NPI master schedule covering all phase gates (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and deliverables.
  • Identify critical path, proactively manage risks and issues, and drive timely resolution.
  • Lead regular program reviews (Gate Reviews) and ensure action item closure.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the central point of contact across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales.
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making and resolve resource conflicts to maintain program alignment.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication across all stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle.

Supply Chain & Manufacturing Ramp

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure material readiness for prototypes and mass production.
  • Drive DFM/DFT reviews and coordinate manufacturing line qualification and ramp plans.
  • Monitor yield, capacity, and cost targets; drive continuous improvement actions.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure products meet customer quality requirements and industry standards (IPC, ISO, IATF, etc.).
  • Drive DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plan development and execution.
  • Manage engineering change orders (ECO/ECN) and ensure controlled implementation.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular program status updates to senior management, highlighting risks and key decisions.
  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation for transparency and traceability.

Process Improvement

  • Capture lessons learned and drive NPI process standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Introduce industry best practices to enhance overall NPI efficiency and quality.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of NPI/program management experience in consumer electronics, telecom, semiconductor, or automotive electronics.
  • Solid understanding of NPI phase-gate process (EVT -> DVT -> PVT -> MP).
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain, manufacturing processes, and quality systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.) and MS Office suite.

Preferred

  • PMP, CAPM, or Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) certification.
  • Experience managing NPI programs in ODM/OEM collaboration models.
  • Familiarity with PCBA, SMT processes, and hardware development lifecycle.
  • proficiency in oral and written English for global team collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
