We’re seeking an experienced Quality Engineer professional to join our team and drive the success of key initiatives. In this role, you’ll lead engineering activities aligned with project objectives, gather and analyze critical data, and develop progress reports and plans that keep stakeholders informed. You’ll play a vital role in monitoring timelines, identifying risks, and escalating issues when needed to ensure smooth execution and delivery. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for materials being processed into partially finished or finished products

  • Work with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product

  • Collaborate internally to ensure quality standards are in effect

  • Responsible for ensuring continuous improvements in product quality, customer and supplier scorecards, and supplier quality

  • Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation

  • Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes

  • Ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance

  • Design and implement product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers

  • Responsible for both Program and Product Quality Engineering

  • Responsible for completing and tracking actions rail for Manufacturing Process Reviews

  • Work with Design Engineering to ensure product health and quality requirements are met prior to full production of new products

  • Monitor program quality data and performs Root Cause Analysis

  • Execute Product Transition elements such as creating Quality Plans, PFMEA, FAI, CAI, etc.

  • Conduct processes to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols

  • Provide explanations of testing and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes

  • Provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes

  • Utilize PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.) to identify and develop recommendations for managing risk in product development

  • Review process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts

  • An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 2+ years Engineering experience in manufacturing environment
