About the Position:
A leading regional academic health system in eastern North Carolina is actively seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification to join their Cardiac Surgery First Assist (CVOR) team.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 1 year of experience with a high-volume cardiothoracic surgery program
Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
Comfortable working exclusively in the operating room environment
Position Highlights:

100% OR-based role supporting a renowned cardiac surgery team
Collaborate with a well-established group of cardiac surgeons and experienced surgical NPs and PAs
Work in a modern, state-of-the-art heart center — a six-story facility housing some of the largest hybrid operating rooms in the country
Join a nationally recognized cardiothoracic program performing 1,000+ pump cases annually
Strong institutional support for robotic surgery and advanced technologies
Comprehensive orientation programs tailored to NP/PA onboarding
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
RNFA certification mandatory for Nurse Practitioners
