Job Description

Title: North America Supply Planner

Location: Chicago, IL

Reports to: Chief Supply Chain Officer

About Blueair:

Blueair, as part of Unilever, is a rapidly growing global brand with consumer health at its core. We believe that no matter where you live, your lifestyle, or your specific health needs, air health is vital to your wellbeing. Over the last 30 years, Blueair has built a team of creative thinkers, health enthusiasts, and innovators who are passionate about our impactful products. We are seeking to add to our entrepreneurial and dynamic culture with a North America Supply Planner.

The North America Supply Planner is a hands-on, high-impact individual contributor role responsible for running supply planning across the North American region. This role reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and partners closely with the NA Demand Planner, Sales, Product Marketing, global supply chain teams, and 3PL partners. The NA Supply Planner owns the end-to-end NA supply plan - from rolling forecasts and PO placement to inventory optimization and dashboard reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, operationally rigorous, and energized by building structure in a dynamic, growing environment.

We believe that we’re better together. Our team is hybrid and requires applicants to live commuting distance from a Blueair office (NYC or Chicago Loop) and be in-office Tuesday-Thursday.

At Blueair you’ll be part of a global team with creative minds collaborating from around the world. We work across time zones, so some flexibility in working hours is part of the adventure. It’s a chance to connect with passionate teammates worldwide, gain diverse perspectives, and help build a brand that resonates across cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Publish reliable inventory snapshots and reporting for Sales and Product Marketing

  • Partner with inbound freight providers and 3PL teams to manage inventory arrival timelines and resolve exceptions

  • Ensure alignment between supply positioning and commercial priorities

Manage Purchase Orders with Global Supply Team

  • Propose, align, and place POs as part of the monthly planning cycle, with weekly analysis and adjustments as needed

  • Collaborate with the global supply chain team to expedite, defer, or allocate POs based on demand volatility

  • Work in close coordination with the NA Demand Planner to ensure supply plans reflect updated forecasts

  • Document decision rationale and maintain clear audit trails across planning cycles

Drive Systems & Process Improvement

  • Partner with the Power BI data analyst to build planning automation and dashboard reporting

  • Develop and maintain a consolidated Power BI workspace with defined roles and responsibilities

  • Standardize supply planning workflows, documentation, and exception management playbooks

  • Improve reconciliation processes between monthly and weekly planning tools

Own & Report Key Supply Metrics

  • Take accountability for tracking, reporting, and driving performance across:

    • Inventory value

    • Months of cover

    • Days on hand

    • Pallet storage quantity

    • Out-of-stock (OOS) rate

  • Continuously optimize inventory availability while balancing working capital and holding costs.

Required Skills:

  • 3-7 years of experience in supply planning or operations in a hands-on analytical role

  • Experience managing multiple SKUs across multiple warehouse locations

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills

  • Practical PO and inventory planning experience; confident making and documenting expedite, defer, and allocation recommendations

  • ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)

  • Ability to manage structured project execution across US and China time zones

  • Strong documentation and reconciliation mindset - you leave processes better than you found them

  • Clear communicator with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting Amazon 1P or large omni-channel retail customers

  • Experience in consumer goods or durable goods environments

  • Exposure to international sourcing, particularly Asia-based manufacturing
