Job Description

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business is a premier innovator in advanced energy conversion and storage systems. We empower utility and industrial customers by solving their most challenging electrification problems and accelerating the transition to a sustainable, decarbonized future.

We are seeking a seasoned North America Quality Leader to oversee quality assurance and quality control for our over $1 billion business, covering three diverse solutions groups: Energy Storage, Industrial Electrification, and Power Stability. This critical leadership role drives the quality continuous improvement culture, ensuring our projects and business processes meet stringent standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. You will report directly to the North American General Manager and lead quality strategy across the region.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Quality Leadership:Lead the NA region in developing and sustaining a proactive, "Zero Defect" continuous improvement culture. Drive quality across the engineered solutionsand productswe provide to the market

  • Process Governance:Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes to ensure engineering deliverables, project execution, and service supplied meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirementsOverseerelatedquality review activities

  • Metric Tracking:Track quality metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement across engineering and project execution processes

  • Problem Solving:Lead corrective action, preventive action, and root cause analysis activities for quality issues and customer concerns

  • Continuous Improvement:Support lessons learned activities and ensure resulting actions are incorporated into standardized work and future projects

  • Operational Excellence:Develop and lead the cadence for monthly, weekly, and daily operating reviews, focusing cross-functional teams on key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve customer and financial commitments.

  • Quality Management System (QMS):Manage and develop the Quality Systems (ISO9001) through active oversight, delegation, and regular performance reviews in coordination with the global QMS leader.

  • Data-Driven Improvement:Analyze quality metrics to identify trends, developing Action Plans and Problem Solving Reports (e.g., RCA, 8D, 5 Why) for critical KPIs.

  • Corrective Actions & Compliance:Manage the oversight and development of corrective/preventive actions, ensuring all customer, third-party auditor, and external body requirements are fully incorporated into standardized work.

  • Process Improvement & Training:Mentor employees on quality procedures, processes, and systems to support regional growth and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Education Requirement:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (technical/engineering degree preferred).

  • Professional Experience:Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in quality management, engineeringquality, or related roles within a large industrial/manufacturing company.

  • Methodological Expertise:Proven history using structured problem-solving tools (RCA, 8D).

  • Standards Knowledge:Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and audit management. Team Leadership: Independent, self-starter capable of influencing cross-functional, global teams.

  • Communication Skills:Strong conflict resolution and communication skills, particularly in customer-facing scenarios.

Desired Characteristics

  • Industry Domain:Experience in power conversion, electronics, or energy storage

  • Systems Mindset:Quality management experience within multi-layered hardware and software

  • Lean Certification:Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or equivalent qualification.

  • Financial Impact:Proven track record of reducing cost of poor quality.

  • Engineering Collaboration:Experience working directly with engineering design teams on quality.

  • Customer Focus:Ability to translate customer problem statements into strategic quality actions.

  • Software Proficiency:Experience with QMS platforms, Minitab, or data analytics tools.

The base pay range for this position is $93,500.00 - 155,900.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
