Non-QM Underwriter

Compensation: ₱80,000 - ₱120,000 / month

Must have at least [4] years of mortgage underwriting experience, including specific expertise in non-QM loan products
We are looking for an experienced Non-QM (Non-Qualified Mortgage) Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of underwriting non-QM loans, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations while supporting the needs of borrowers who do not meet traditional mortgage standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with the ability to assess complex income documentation, analyze risk, and make informed underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate loan applications, including credit, income, assets, and property details, to determine borrower eligibility for non-QM loans.
• Analyze complex financial information, including alternative documentation types (e.g., bank statements, asset depletion, and debt service coverage).
• Assess risk and make sound underwriting decisions in accordance with company guidelines and applicable regulations.
• Work collaboratively with loan officers, processors, and other team members to obtain additional information or documentation needed for underwriting.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of non-QM lending products and stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
• Ensure timely and efficient processing of loan files to meet closing deadlines.
• Provide clear and accurate feedback on loan conditions and communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve any outstanding issues.
• Assist in developing and updating underwriting policies and procedures specific to non-QM products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and providing expert guidance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of [ 4] years of mortgage underwriting experience, with specific expertise in non-QM loan products.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, including non-QM product types and alternative documentation methods.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in mortgage software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make decisions with confidence.
