The Role

We are looking to recruit a Non Ferrous Buyer with Non-Ferrous knowledge to join our established team based at our Metal Recycling Park in Preston.

What you will be doing:

• Follow company policy to identify and purchase ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals
• Sort non-ferrous metals into correct grades as directed by non-ferrous manager
• Deal with customers and members of the public following company guidelines and customer service guidelines
• Ensure stock is sorted and weighed correctly as directed by non-ferrous manager
• Work with batteries, catalytic converter as well as non ferrous
• To adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
• To keep the area you are working in clean and tidy
• Any other duties as required
• General housekeeping duties
• FLT duties
• Travel to nationwide sites if / when required

Who you are

• Experience in grading different metals
• Scrap metal experience
• Enjoy working with customers
• Experienced FLT driver
• Enjoy working outdoors
