Job Description

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately, but the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

Walmart is hiring for Non-Certified Pharmacy Technicians in Republic, MO

We are seeking a dedicated Certified and Non-Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our team at our new Central fill facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and tracking medication inventory, supporting facility reporting and paperwork, promoting the pharmacy's professional reputation, ensuring the fulfillment of prescriptions, maintaining quality and inventory accuracy, and upholding pharmacy systems and technology. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Compensation details:

  • Non-Certified Pharmacy Technicians: Pay starts $20.50/hr based on experience.
  • Plus $2.00/Hr differential for the 2nd shift

Work Schedule:

  • 1st shift: candidates must be available to work between the hours of 5am to 5pm.
  • 2nd shift: candidates must be available to work between the hours of 3pm to 3am

Job Duties include

  • Maintain and track medication inventory by sorting, placing, storing, restocking, replenishing, reporting low stock levels, ensuring stock rotation, performing inventory cycle counts, assisting with physical counts, creating reports using inventory information systems, and monitoring prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticals.
  • Support facility reporting and paperwork by entering and modifying pharmaceutical data, processing and submitting paperwork, creating and maintaining documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies, preparing reports, and informing management about inefficient processes and improper service procedures.
  • Promote and maintain the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies, handling claims and returns, completing and securing paperwork and forms, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist in an automated central fill pharmacy by using scanners, verifying product and quantity, entering expiration dates and lot numbers, labeling prescriptions, weighing and counting medication, preparing packages, distributing medications, and replenishing automated counting machines.

Physical Requirements

  • Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stands for long periods of time.
  • Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy.
