Job Description

Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections company, seeks a dedicated and safety-conscious Local Mini Truck Driver to join our team in Fife, WA This is a physically demanding, hands-on position where you’ll get in and out of your truck at every stop, perform commercial lifting, and work hard to serve our customers. While a CDL is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.

Location: Fife, WA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift starting at 6 AM, with 40 to 50 hours per week based on operational needs
Pay: Starting wages begin between $22.00 to $25.00 per hour


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a mini rear-load garbage truck along designated routes to collect solid waste safely.

  • Read and follow route sheets, providing service to each customer as the dispatcher assigns.

  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading, often without assistance.

  • Interact courteously with customers and complete additional job-related tasks as needed.


Working Conditions:

  • This position requires extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.

  • You will work in various outdoor conditions, which may include wet or humid weather, exposure to fumes, and vibrations. Noise levels are typically moderate.


Qualifications:

  • Clean driving record.

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
