JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitorall channels distributed from AMCN B&Tto ensure

• Signal quality going out ofhouseandcleansignal coming backinhouse

• Tones to trigger local commercial insertion are going out asexpected.

• Nielsen SID is distributed for propercreditingofviewership.

• Log into all signal encoders (overseventy-fiveencoders) and check for alarm status, bandwidth analysis, devicetemperatureanddevice filter statusTroubleshootissues,as necessary.

• Performsystem checks that include:

• Routing both mirrorand disaster recoverysystemsto workstations to confirm systemfunctionality.

• Checking satellite receivers in the NOC and SAT Hubs to confirm good margin levels for signalquality.

• ConfirmingMediaproxysystem is recording all channelsto ensure our ability to provide evidence of clean andaccuratetransmission whenneeded.

• Verifying encrypted messages are going out asintended.

• Reviewing Crystal Monitoring & Control to confirm proper transmission path onair

• Schedule downlink requestsas needed fromhomeoffice.

• Program andoperatelive blackouts and service replacements

• MonitorAffiliateHotline to receive any affiliate engineering calls and troubleshoot issues as needed.

• Walk the EncodingHubeach shiftto check alarm status on encoders.

• Make high Leverage decisions without supervisor support

• Assistin training newer operators

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

• Minimum2-5years experiencein Transmission or related discipline

• High School DiplomarequiredCollege degree preferred; focusonbroadcasting technology or similardiscipline.

• Strong knowledge of signal flow within a broadcast facilitypreferred.

• Strong knowledge of encoding platforms, such as Synamedia and CommScopesystems,preferred

• Understanding of equipment such as routers, analyzers, receivers, and encoderspreferred

• Strong customer service,communication, and troubleshooting skillsrequired

• Detail orientated,organizedand capable ofhandlingmultiple concurrent issues under high-pressure situationswith accuracyrequired

• Ability to work closely with peers and operations and engineering teams.

• Ability to function in a 24/7 operational environmentand work flexible schedule which could include nights,weekends, andholidays.

The base compensation for this position is $50,000-$57,000 commensurate with experience.
