Drawing upon Chef Matsuhisa's classical training as a sushi chef in Tokyo, his life abroad in South America and his travels around the world, his culinary style blends classical techniques with exotic global flavors. NOBULĀNA‘Ishowcasessignature new-style Japanese cuisine, as well as new creations infusing local ingredients. Sip a signature cocktail in the lounge, take a seat at the sushibaror enjoy dinner at one of the outdoor tables. Inspired by the simplistic lines found in Japanese architecture and a palette rich with teak timbers and meticulous wood detailing, the decor easily blurs the lines between interior and exterior space as diners gaze upon the sand and waters ofHulopo‘eBay, often referred to as one of Hawaii’s most beautiful beaches.

WHAT YOU’LLDO

A Host/ess serves as the first point of contact for guests by providing a warm welcome and introducing them to the restaurant experience. This roleis responsible formanaging reservations and seating tomaintainan efficient guest flow, sharing information about the restaurant concept, menu offerings, and daily specials, and responding to all guest interactions with professionalism and courtesy to ensure a positive and memorable dining experience.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcome guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating tooptimizeguest flow and enhance the overall dining experience.

  • Communicatethe restaurant concept, food and beverage daily specials, and menu offerings; escort guests through the space to their assigned tables; obtain water preferences; and relay relevant information to servers and server assistants.

  • Maintain a clean, organized host stand, waiting areas, and reservation records; ensure all menus are wiped down, free of stains or wrinkles, and presented in a clean, polished condition.

  • Accurately enter and manage guest information in the reservations system, including special requests, occasions, and preferences; cross‑reference Golden and OpenTable profiles to support personalized and seamless service.

  • Assistservers and restaurant staff during high‑volume periods orspecial events; support tablesetupandbreakdown, including responsibility for table lighting and floral elements.

  • Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure a positive and welcoming experience.

WHAT TOBRING

  • Successful candidate mustpossesslegal work authorization in United States

  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours adayand scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability isrequired

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance cardand Hawaii Food Handler’s Card

  • Ability to standfor extended periods,lift upto 50lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts

  • Maintains a guest‑focused mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills, effectively enhancesthe guest experience, anddemonstratesstrong attention to detail while keeping a clean, organized, and well‑stocked workspace
