Analyst (Data & Research)

Rystad Energy is seeking an enthusiastic and analytical Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will combine data analytics, market research, statistical modeling, and AI-enabled workflows to develop industry-leading insights for the global energy sector. You will work with large datasets, conduct market research, build analytical models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products for our global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets from multiple internal and external sources while maintaining high data quality.
• Conduct research on global energy and commodity markets to identify trends, developments, and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain structured databases using SQL and support the development of scalable data pipelines.
• Develop Python-based tools and automation scripts for data collection, processing, and analysis.
• Apply statistical techniques, forecasting models, and quantitative methods to solve real-world business problems.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and machine learning techniques to improve research efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance analytical capabilities.
• Translate complex datasets and research findings into meaningful insights through reports, dashboards, and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve Rystad Energy's products, databases, and analytical solutions.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality, research methodologies, and analytical processes.
• Support client-facing activities by contributing technical and research expertise.

Requirements

We are looking for motivated candidates with a strong academic track record, analytical mindset as well as software development skills to strengthen our capacity within in-house modeling.

• Masters degree within Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics or similar
• Proactive, independent, open-minded and creative
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and strong multi-tasker
• Good English skills, both verbal and written
• A positive person with strong motivation to personally develop and contribute to the company’s development and growth
