Job Description

About Greenleaf
GreenLeaf is proud to have been part of the sustainability food chain since our inception in 1975 when our founder, Jameson Patton delivered local and organic produce to San Francisco communes and restaurants out of a 1966 Dodge Windo van named Juliette.
As GreenLeaf's reputation blossomed, Jameson and his partner, Steve Walton, became instrumental in the forming and advancement of CCOF, California Certified Organic Farmers.
Today, with over 2,000 discerning customers, GreenLeaf is in the unique position to be able to select and support hundreds of farms and suppliers committed to organic and regenerative farming, ethical ingredient sourcing, worker well-being, and growing local communities.

The Night Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and oversees all night-shift warehouse operations under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager. This role focuses on maximizing overnight productivity, enforcing strict food safety protocols, and ensuring compliant, accurate, and timely dispatch of goods for morning deliveries.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Night Operations: Supervise, coach, and mentor night-shift personnel across receiving, replenishment, order picking, and staging functions. We use WMS BFC and Prime to pick orders.

• Drive Shipping Accuracy: Manage nightly fulfillment workflows to ensure 100% order accuracy and on-time departure for delivery fleets.

• Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to USDA, FDA, and local food distribution safety regulations, including temperature monitoring and sanitation guidelines.

• Uphold BRCGS Standards: Oversee overnight compliance with BRCGS Global Standards for Storage and Distribution, ensuring impeccable facility cleanliness, pest control monitoring, and proper product handling.

• Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate nightly logs, traceability records, and temperature charts required for third-party BRCGS and regulatory audits.

• Optimize Resources: Manage night-shift labor to ensure personal safety, quality, and productivity targets. • Build Great Teams: Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective actions for overnight team members.

About You:

• Proven Leadership: Minimum 2–3 years of warehouse supervisory experience, preferably managing overnight shifts.

• Industry Background: Required experience working within food distribution, fresh produce, or cold-storage environments.

• Food Safety Standards: Hands-on experience working within a BRCGS-certified facility (Storage and Distribution standard preferred).

• Compliance Knowledge: Practical, working knowledge of USDA, FDA, and OSHA safety standards.

• Technical Proficiency: Experience operating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technologies.

• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work standard overnight shifts, including weekends or holidays as business dictates.
