Night Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Chorley 24 Hour, supporting regional Medivet practices
Hours: 7pm – 9am | 5 nights on, 10 nights off
Contract: Annualised hours for excellent work–life balance

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and friendly team in a busy 24-hour Medivet practice in Chorley.

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality out-of-hours care across several Medivet practices in the region. You’ll enjoy a varied and rewarding caseload, with a strong focus on emergency and critical care alongside inpatient management.

With a 5 on / 10 off rota, this position offers an excellent work–life balance while allowing you to build confidence and expertise in ECC.

About You

Confident working independently overnight

Experienced in managing emergency and critical care cases

Previous OOH or ECC experience is essential

Calm, compassionate, and team-focused approach

Strong clinical decision-making skills
