Job Description

Are you calm, reliable, and confident working independently
at night? Join us at The Great Aussie Bush Camp in Tea Gardens as a
Night Supervisor, where you’ll play an important role in ensuring the safety,
wellbeing and comfort of young campers during their overnight stay. This is a
great opportunity for someone who enjoys responsibility, communicates well, and
wants to make a positive difference in a unique outdoor environment.

Hours of Work

Mon: 8:30 pm – 12:00 am

Tues: 9:00 pm – 12:00 am

Wed: 8:30 pm – 12:00 am

Thurs: 9:00 pm – 12:00 am

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a visible presence around camp and ensure camper safety throughout the night
  • Monitor behaviour and noise levels to support a positive environment
  • Assist children who may feel unsettled, anxious, or homesick
  • Conduct regular patrols and respond to reasonable requests from teachers and clients
  • Manage first aid situations or emergencies in line with procedures
  • Communicate with teachers about any concerns or student needs
  • Record overnight issues for the Centre Manager’s review

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with children and adults
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to stay focused during night shifts
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to child safety
  • Ability to work independently while still supporting the wider team

Requirements

  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work rights
  • Fluent English
