Job DetailsJob Location: Florida Branch - Tampa, FL 33619Position Type: WarehouseEducation Level: Not SpecifiedTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: AnyJob Category: WarehouseThe Night Shift Warehouse Worker (Monday to Friday 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.) plays a critical role in preparing next day moving and storage operations. In this position individual is able to work independently and be responsible for loading and staging trucks, organizing materials and equipment, completing end of day inventory tasks, and ensuring the facility is secured properly. Because this is the final person in the building each night, the role requires someone who is highly trustworthy, dependable, and detail oriented. This role is a non-exempt hourly role with hourly rate of between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour depending on experience. Additional Sign On Bonus of $1800.00 available base on meeting program critetria.
Qualifications
Prior warehouse or moving industry experience preferred.
Forklift experience required or willingness to complete certification
Ability to lift 50 to75 lbs regularly and work on your feet for extended periods.
Comfortable using computer systems for paperwork and job updates.
Valid driver’s license for in yard truck movement.
Prior truck driving experience preferred
Strong communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Truck & Equipment Preparation
Load and prepare trucks for next day jobs, including materials, equipment, and client items (containerized or individual).
Stage job specific materials such as pads, dollies, cartons, straps, and specialty equipment.
Load storage containers on and off trucks with forklift.
Ensure all items are properly secured and documented before trucks depart the next morning.
Gas and inspect trucks at end of shift; report any maintenance concerns.
Inventory & Materials Management
Conduct nightly inventory of materials and equipment upon return to the warehouse.Replenish and restock materials for next day operationsVerify accuracy of returned client items and ensure proper placement in vaults or designated storage areas.Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
Warehouse & Yard Operations
Operate forklifts safely to move vaults, pallets, and materials (training and certification provided if needed)Perform in yard truck driving to reposition vehicles for loading, fueling, or parking.Follow all safety procedures for equipment use, vehicle movement, and warehouse operations.
Administrative & Computer Tasks
Use computer systems to prepare paperwork, update job files, and complete daily action logs.Enter notes, job updates, and material usage into company systems.Communicate any discrepancies, shortages, or operational issues to management before end of shift.
Security & Facility Closure
Serve as the final person in the facility each night, ensuring all trucks, equipment, and doors are secured.Conduct end of day walkthroughs to verify safety, cleanliness, and proper lock up.Demonstrate consistent reliability, integrity, and sound judgment in all closing procedures.
