We are seeking a motivated and dependable Utility Fill In Rover/Production Worker for our night shift operations within the sawmill. This position is designed as a versatile, fill-in role where the employee will rotate through various departments and tasks. The supervisor will evaluate performance and strengths to determine the best long-term placement within the mill.
THIS IS AN HOURLY POSITION
Key Responsibilities:
- Rotate through multiple departments to support production needs
- Fill in for operators and team members as needed
- Perform general labor duties including stacking, sorting, cleanup, material handling, and equipment assistance
- Assist with machine operation under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Adapt quickly to changing tasks and priorities

Qualifications:
- Ability to work night shift hours consistently
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple positions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial sawmill environment
- Good attendance and reliability
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Work Environment:
- Industrial sawmill setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
- Physically demanding work environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and machinery
