What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate pit loader safely and efficiently to support sand and gravel production.

  • Load haul trucks, feed plant equipment, and move materials as needed.

  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks.

  • Monitor material quality and communicate any production or safety concerns.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.

  • Strong commitment to safe work practices around machinery and pit operations.

  • Capability to work independently and adapt to changing production needs.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varying outdoor conditions.

  • Reliable, communicative individual with attention to detail and situational awareness.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment and to climb in and out of machinery safely.

  • Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and tools as needed for operational and maintenance tasks.

  • Ability to work on uneven ground, in dusty conditions, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, or stepping onto elevated surfaces.

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
