Department

Machine Repairpersons are active in, and must be skilled in, all aspects of maintaining Hollister manufacturing machinery and equipment; including in-depth trouble shooting, rebuilding machines, repairing machines, and modifying machines.

Additionally, Machine Repairpersons may use project management and leadership skills in the improvement of production equipment and processes.

Machine Repairpersons will need to interface with production personnel, engineers, management, and vendors. This position may have, or develop into a position, that has extensive on-call responsibilities and may require travel for training, factory acceptance testing, and other production related activities.

The candidate for this position will need to develop extensive skills in PLC / Electronic machine logic and control systems. Ultimately, the person in this role must be able to work independently with equipment documentation and be diligent in updating software control and machine documentation from a regulatory perspective.

The candidate for this position must have an established reputation of self-learning, independent problem solving and positive team interaction. The person in this role will be expected to continue expanding their maintenance skills (specifically controls and robotics) and potentially work into a Senior Machine Repairperson once they meet the requirements for advancement.

Qualifications:

  • 2 year Electrical / Electronics Degree or equivalent experience
  • Electo-mechanical maintenance skills
  • Ability to modify and create PLC / HMI programs is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with networks and communications is highly desirable
  • Must be able to perform and recommend machine upgrades / changes
  • Working knowledge of Windows operation systems
  • Must be willing and able to take training to advance skill set
  • Must be willing to adapt work schedule as needed under very rare circumstances
  • AutoCAD experience is desired but not required
