Night Shift Inspection LeadPlay an integral role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering, procurement, and construction projects by leading quality programs that drive compliance, operational excellence, and customer confidence. As the Night Shift Inspection Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight for quality control activities that directly influence project performance, execution quality, regulatory compliance, and overall project success.This is a highly visible leadership role that combines technical expertise, quality management, and people leadership. You will work closely with project managers, construction leaders, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and customer stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are consistently achieved while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Purpose of the roleThe Night Shift Inspection Lead is responsible for leading quality control activities for projects, business functions, or operational groups while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will oversee quality personnel, establish quality priorities, and support project teams in achieving quality objectives that align with business goals and customer expectations.Operating as a first-line quality leader, you will manage quality processes, inspection programs, compliance activities, and quality improvement initiatives while providing technical guidance to quality professionals and project teams. Through effective leadership and stakeholder engagement, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality and workmanship.You will be responsible for:Leading project and operational quality control activities to support successful project delivery and business objectives.Managing quality control personnel, inspectors, coordinators, and quality professionals assigned to projects or functional groups.Developing and implementing quality control plans, inspection programs, surveillance activities, and compliance processes.Ensuring compliance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, regulatory obligations, and company quality standards.Supporting project teams in identifying, managing, and resolving quality-related issues throughout project execution.Coordinating quality control activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational functions.Reviewing and monitoring quality performance metrics, inspection results, audit findings, and corrective action programs.Providing technical leadership and direction for inspection, testing, verification, and quality assurance activities.Managing non-conformance reporting processes and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Supporting contractor and supplier quality management activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.Participating in project planning activities to integrate quality requirements into project execution strategies.Conducting quality reviews, audits, assessments, and compliance evaluations.Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing initiatives that enhance quality performance and project outcomes.Supporting project turnover and completion activities to ensure quality documentation and requirements are fully satisfied.Collaborating with customer representatives and stakeholders to address quality concerns and support project objectives.Preparing quality reports, presentations, performance summaries, and recommendations for management and project leadership.Promoting a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement, accountability, and customer focus.Supporting personnel development through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management activities.About us Worley is a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia. What you’ll bring to the roleYou bring a combination of quality management expertise, leadership capability, technical knowledge, and project delivery experience that enables you to successfully lead quality programs in complex project environments.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Typically 7+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, inspection, construction, manufacturing, industrial operations, or related technical disciplines.Demonstrated experience supporting EPC, EPCM, energy, chemicals, resources, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial, or construction projects.Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection methodologies, testing programs, auditing practices, and continuous improvement principles.Experience leading quality personnel, inspectors, technical specialists, or project quality teams.Demonstrated ability to manage project quality programs and support compliance with customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.Strong knowledge of construction quality practices, inspection requirements, fabrication processes, and field quality management.Experience managing non-conformance programs, corrective actions, and quality performance improvement initiatives.Ability to evaluate technical information, identify risks, and implement effective quality solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions within established policies and procedures.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience preparing and presenting quality reports, recommendations, and performance updates to management and project teams.Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop teams, drive accountability, and foster collaboration.Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection software, document management systems, and reporting tools.Commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, safety, and quality performance.BenefitsFeel the energy at Worley with access to a range of benefits including paid-time off, holiday pay (usually 8 per year in the US), and eligibility to participate in the medical, life, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as 401K plan.Apply todayIf you are a quality professional who is passionate about leadership, continuous improvement, and delivering projects that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, we encourage you to apply.
