TotalRecycle is a groundbreaking, state-of-the-art single stream recycle facility further advances our steadfast commitment to a greener environment.
TotalRecycle contains cutting-edge technology that allows for the precise sorting and processing of recyclable materials. Situated on a 14-acre site in Berk’s County, this 75,000 square foot facility accepts all items capable of being recycled. TotalRecycle is the only facility of this magnitude in the area.  With its beautiful infrastructure, the complex looks more like a resort than a recycling plant.  However, it is capable of processing 700 ton of recyclables a day or almost 20,000 ton a month.  That equates to 560,000 homes a week or over 50 cities the size of Reading! TotalRecycle is approved to run 20 hours a day, six days a week.

Our Total Recycle Division, located in Birdsboro, PA is currently searching for two (2), part-time, weekend Security Fire Watch Guards!

What You Will Do:
- Patrol and check all areas of assigned facilities to safeguard against fire, trespassing, theft, vandalism and other hazards
- Ensure that doors, gates and windows are properly locked
- Maintain checkpoints to assist persons entering the landfill property during non-operational hours; deny entry to unauthorized persons
- Provide instruction and assistance to persons visiting the facility after hours
- Report any emergency to the appropriate agency or person(s) and respond to emergency situations and security issues as they arise
- Position flags as appropriate, assuring that they are properly flown, taken down and stored
- Prepare and submit incident reports to the supervisor; maintain records of daily activities and communicate activities to supervisor
- Check to ensure that various devices such as pumps, gas flare, compactor, fuel tanks, etc. are functioning and/or secured, report issues to appropriate staff member
- Maintain building accesses sufficient for security checks that may include light snow shoveling and salt applications as necessary
- Maintain and ensure proper operation of various communication devices
- Do odor run through surrounding areas to make sure there are no odors off site
- Perform light cleaning duties in the scale house
- Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

QualificationsYou Have:
- Valid Driver’s License
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
