Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all chemicals used within the hygiene department, including their correct application and scope of use.
  • Ensure full compliance with COSHH requirements by following and adhering to relevant risk assessments across all departments.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of factory cleaning systems, schedules, procedures, and equipment to maintain consistently high hygiene standards.
  • Complete and maintain all required hygiene and departmental documentation accurately.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Apply a basic understanding of food microbiology to support effective hygiene practices.
  • Work collaboratively within the hygiene team and across departments to promote a positive team-focused culture.
  • Ensure all returned equipment meets food safety and hygiene compliance standards.
  • Maintain CAYGO (Clean As You Go) standards across all areas at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in High Risk, Low Risk, and external areas.
  • Refill chemical and consumable dispensers to the correct levels as required.
  • Carry out scheduled hygiene tasks under the supervision of the Hygiene Team Leader, ensuring all associated documentation is completed.
  • Undertake additional cleaning duties to support site visits and third-party audits, maintaining a high standard at all times.
  • Monitor the condition of cleaning materials daily and arrange timely replacement when required.
