Job Description

Night Foreman

12-month hourly employee

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Times of Shift: 3:00 pm to 12:00 am

Job Summary:

  1. Responsible for the security of the building and site.
  2. To insure that custodial equipment is kept in safe, clean and operable condition.
  3. Responsible for the inspection of custodial areas, equipment, and supply inventories.
  4. Supervise second shift set-ups for school activities, rentals, and continuing education.
  5. Assists with snow removal operations.
  6. Participates in custodial evaluations.
  7. Maintains a nightly log of building activities.
  8. Performs other duties assigned by the Building and Grounds Manager.

Qualifications:

  1. Possess strong leadership ability.
  2. Possess mechanical knowledge and skill to operate equipment used in floor and carpet
  3. maintenance.
  4. Ability to plan and supervise building custodial staff and personnel.
  5. Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and safe application practices.
  6. Possess safety habits, skills and insight while performing duties.
  7. Familiar with swimming pool operation.
  8. Must be capable of understanding instructions and physically able to perform assigned
  9. tasks.

Working Conditions:

Is under the supervision of the Building and Grounds Manager.

Terms of Employment

Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the District 211 Operations Maintenance Group.
