About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse at our Oaklea Hall Aged Care you'll be at the heart of resident care, blending strong clinical judgement with genuine warmth and respect for the people you support.

Day to day, you'll assess and plan care, deliver hands on clinical treatment, and guide and support our Personal Care Workers to ensure every resident's needs are met with skill and dignity. You'll build trusted relationships with residents, their loved ones, GPs and allied health professionals, working as one team to get the best outcomes for those in our care.

This role suits an RN who takes pride in doing things properly, accurate documentation, sound clinical decisions and a steady, reassuring presence, especially when things get busy or complex.

This position is offered on a permanent part time basis, rostered on 2 Sunday Night Duty shifts in the fortnight, and 1 Wednesday Night Duty shift, with a start date of 28 September 2026 (flexible to 5 October if required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical care to residents in line with your scope of practice
• Admit and assess new residents, including development of interim care plans
• Undertake resident assessments and review of care plans, particularly for residents with complex or palliative care needs
• Administer medications and undertake specialised clinical tasks such as wound care, vital signs and blood glucose monitoring
• Manage emergency situations, injuries and incidents in consultation with the Facility Manager
• Provide advice, monitoring and support to Personal Care Workers regarding resident care
• Liaise with external health care professionals as required
• Support orientation and training of new staff
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with legislation and funding requirements
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support internal and external reviews

About You:

You are a compassionate and clinically capable RN who is committed to providing high quality, person centred care and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

You will bring:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Required)
• Supervisory skills and experience
• A high level of analytical, written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of legislation appropriate to aged care
• Contemporary clinical skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Understanding of ACFI documentation and funding requirements in aged care
• Understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Ability to manage emergency situations and resolve conflict effectively
• Current Police Check (Required)
• Australian working rights (Required)
• Previous experience in an Aged Care Facility (Desirable)
