Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Responsible for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including cleaning of kitchens, storeroom, and locker areas.*

• Cleaning all kitchen surfaces, i.e. floors, walls, ceilings, etc.*

• Maintaining clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas.*

• Emptying and scrubbing garbage containers when necessary.*

• Keeping garbage compactor area clean and neat.*

• Cleaning hood areas and screens above cooking areas. May require some shifts as a general kitchen worker.*

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to read and write English language.

• Self-starter, ability to perform all job duties without close supervision.

• Understand use of and work with assorted chemicals.

• One year experience in related field preferred.

Job Demands:

• Third Shift Schedule 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including weekends and holidays.

• Proper footwear must be provided by employee.

• Work area subject to uncomfortable heat.

• Must be able to work with chemicals.

• Must be able to lift average weight of 50 pounds.

• Standing and walking required throughout shift.

• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
