Your day to day
Post all daily room charges to guest ledger and ensure that all are correct
Assist front office personnel in check in and check out during the night shift
Ensure that final readings of restaurants and other outlets are taken and balances those reading with the hotel’s property management system
Ensure that all checkout bills are done efficiently, correctly and timely
Ensure all receipts for the shift are properly recorded, balanced and deposited in the hotel’s drop-safe
Prepare and balance revenue journal and issue the Daily Revenue Report in Excel
Settle all credit cards and balances
Summarize all officer checks to be signed by the Director/ Manager of Finance
Summarize all adjustments or rebates to be signed by the Dir./ Manager of Finance and the General Manager
Check all supporting documentation
Prepare register guest report/high balance and take necessary action to ensure appropriate credit limits are given to customers
Reconcile guest ledger on a daily basis to the Front Office totals
Prepare and circulate a list of complimentary rooms
Self-Management
Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook
Comply with Company Grooming Standards
Comply with Time and Attendance Policies
Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self-development
Customer Service:
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
Being attentive to Guests
Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
Anticipate Guests needs
Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
Health, Safety and Security:
Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures
Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager
General
Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct
Familiarise yourself with the company values and model desired behaviours
Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals
What we need from you
Minimum 1 YEAR of Experience in Same position preferred.
Previous Experience in luxurious Hotels.
Fluent English language.
