Night Auditor – Crowne Plaza Geelong – (Part Time and Full Time)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Night Auditor to join our team. Working closely with the Night Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business during overnight hours, maintaining compliance standards, completing accurate reporting, and delivering exceptional guest service.

This position requires a proactive individual with strong administrative, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills who can confidently work independently while supporting the wider operations team.

This newly created role will provide critical support to both the Front Office and Finance teams. 7

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Night Manger in all elements of their function including security and safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues.
  • Assist the Night Manager with any tasks required based on operational needs including functions relating to Food & Beverage, Room Service, Housekeeping and Front Office.
  • Complete end-of-day accounting processes, including financial audits, reconciliations, revenue verification, and system balancing.

  • Reconcile all payment transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Prepare and distribute daily operational and financial reports.

  • Monitor overnight activities, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with the check-in and check-out process for guests during the night shift.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests during the night shift, handling any guest inquiries or complaints and ensuring that all guest needs are met.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong compliance and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience reconciling financial transactions and preparing reports.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the Night Manager and broader team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with hotel or property management systems (preferred).
  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotel reception, night audit, administration, or a similar role.
