  • Welcoming guests, visitors, and Curators with genuine warmth and professionalism throughout the overnight shift.
  • Registering guests with advance reservations efficiently and accurately.
  • Assisting visitors looking for accommodations and helping meet their needs.
  • Providing guests with helpful information about hotel services, amenities, and the surrounding area.
  • Answering internal and external telephone calls, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately.
  • Acting as the overnight reservation attendant and assisting guests with reservation needs.
  • Answering guest questions and providing accurate, helpful information.
  • Running end-of-day reports and reconciling information across hotel systems.
  • Following accounting procedures carefully and ensuring overnight financial information is accurate.
  • Maintaining proper guest key control and following hotel security procedures.
  • Handling lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
  • Remaining attentive and available to guests throughout the overnight shift.
  • Responding to guest concerns professionally and helping resolve issues whenever possible.
  • Communicating important information and overnight concerns to the appropriate leadership team.
  • Following all Front Office, safety, security, accounting, and company policies and procedures.
  • Remaining on-site and on duty during inclement weather until properly relieved by another Curator.

  • You have previous cashier or basic accounting experience and understand the importance of accurate transactions and reconciliation.
  • You can manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent guest service.
  • You are comfortable working under pressure and can prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • You understand the importance of guest privacy, security, and proper key handling.
  • You have a professional appearance and understand that you represent the hotel even during overnight hours.
  • You are dependable and take pride in maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous hotel, Front Office, Night Audit, cashier, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Basic accounting and cash-handling knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to accurately operate computers, keyboards, printers, and hotel systems.
  • Ability to learn and operate reservation and accounting systems.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to work the overnight shift, typically 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the overnight shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in a Front Office environment that may include crowded or close-quarter spaces.
  • Ability to work at a computer and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the Front Office and hotel as needed to assist guests and complete assigned duties.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and attentiveness during overnight hours.
  • Ability to remain on-site and on duty during inclement weather until properly relieved, as required by business and operational needs.
