Job Title: Creative Strategist

Contractor Fee: $3,000 - $3,500/month (USD)

Work Arrangement: Remote

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor

Commitment: Full-time (Approx. 40 hours/week)

About This Role:
We're hiring a Creative Strategist to support a growing DTC medical apparel brand that sells compression socks and scrubs through Facebook and Instagram. In this role, you'll research customers, identify what motivates them to buy, develop ad concepts and creative angles, write direct-response copy, create creative briefs, and help improve landing pages. We're looking for someone who understands customer psychology, enjoys testing new ideas, and can turn research and performance insights into winning ads and funnels that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategic direction behind assigned funnels from ad concept through landing page experience.

  • Conduct deep market research across Reddit, TikTok comments, Amazon reviews, competitor ad libraries, YouTube ads, Meta Ad Library, and other customer conversation channels.

  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned customer personas, including emotional drivers, language patterns, objections, and buying triggers.

  • Write high-converting direct response copy, including:
    • Hooks

    • Scripts

    • VSL frameworks

    • UGC concepts and structures

  • Create detailed creative briefs designed to produce high-performing video and static advertisements.

  • Propose and plan landing page A/B tests, including:
    • New creative angles

    • Section revamps

    • Copy treatments

    • Structural improvements

  • Analyze performance data to identify optimization opportunities and future testing priorities.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align offers, messaging, creative angles, and funnel strategy.

Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or similar AI tools

  • Meta Ads Manager

  • Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

  • Competitor research and ad intelligence tools

  • Slack and Zoom

  • ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or similar project management tools

  • Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Creative Strategy, Performance Creative, Direct Response Marketing, or a similar role.

  • Portfolio, case studies, or examples of creative work that contributed to measurable business or advertising results.

  • Experience working with DTC, eCommerce, or consumer brands.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including creative, media buying, growth, and leadership teams.

  • Resourceful, proactive, and highly accountable with a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with landing page optimization and A/B testing.

  • Familiarity with health, wellness, medical apparel, or consumer product brands.

  • Experience working with founder-led businesses or fast-growing DTC brands.

Shift Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, flexible working hours with required overlap during Australian or US business hours for check-ins
