The team is part of the CRO / NFR / PMR / Global Oversight & Reporting domain. Professionals in this team focus on embedding and overseeing the implementation of Operational Risk and IT Risk frameworks across all NFR locations, ensuring consistent application and effective risk management, as well as providing strong non-financial risk (NFR) reporting processes, ensuring
regulatory compliance, and driving standardization and efficiency across global locations. The team’s work has a direct impact on ING’s global risk posture and regulatory compliance, as well as quality and reliability of ING’s risk reporting.
Specific Function
The team contributes by acting as the first point of contact for all matters related to NFR reporting including regulatory reporting and the NFRD. They support the needs of locations and Centers of Excellence (COEs) for example through dashboarding, ensuring the NFRD and NFR KRI methodologies remain fit for purpose and compliant with regulatory requirements. The team standardizes, reduces, and centralizes the reporting burden, manages global reporting
templates, and oversees processes related to risk thresholds and event reporting. They act as the SMEs on the NFRD model and are the gatekeeper for any changes to the NFRD or other quantitative methodologies owned by NFR (except capital). Their work directly supports the broader goals of risk management and regulatory compliance at ING.
As a Reporting Expert, you are responsible for all aspects of NFR reporting, acting as the primary interface between locations and COEs. You will ensure that reporting processes are effective, compliant, and continuously improved. You support the Head of Oversight and Reporting in discharging their obligations as NFRD model owner. The role requires a proactive professional who can drive standardization, manage global templates, and oversee key risk processes. Success in this role means delivering high-quality reporting supporting the risk
management objectives, unlocking new insights into non-financial risk through data, driving framework adherence throughout the organisation through better dashboarding and reducing the reporting workload for local teams. This is a meaningful opportunity to shape ING’s global approach to non-financial risk reporting.
