Job Description

Grant Thornton is investing in a new technology-enabled offering that will bring together strategy, implementation and ongoing services in a more integrated, repeatable model. The Platform Director will lead the offering from concept through market launch and scale, working across internal capabilities and an external partner ecosystem.

This is a hands-on Director level role for a builder who can translate a strategic vision into a differentiated client proposition, scalable delivery model and sustainable business.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Own the offering strategy, roadmap, operating model and execution plan.
  • Convert market needs into standardized capabilities, reusable assets and clearly defined services.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning strategy, technology, implementation, operations, risk and commercial functions.
  • Establish product governance, architecture principles, release priorities and disciplined change control.
  • Develop the commercial model, pricing approach, business case and performance measures in partnership with firm leadership.
  • Support priority pursuits and communicate the offering credibly to senior client and internal stakeholders.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with technology, implementation and service-delivery partners.
  • Provide oversight for early client deployments and ensure an effective transition from implementation to ongoing service delivery.
  • Create a scalable multi-client service model with clear accountability, quality standards and performance reporting.
  • Recruit, organize and lead the team required to grow the offering.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience leading enterprise technology platforms, technology-enabled services, complex implementations or managed operations.
  • Demonstrated success launching or scaling a platform, productized service, subscription offering or multi-client services business.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, business applications, data, integration, cybersecurity and service management—without dependence on a single technology vendor.
  • Experience leading complex programs across internal teams, software providers, systems integrators and managed-service partners.
  • Commercial acumen across pricing, recurring revenue, unit economics, contracting and delivery risk.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • A builder mindset, strong judgment and comfort operating in an evolving environment.
  • Building new technology-enabled offerings within professional services, consulting or a comparable environment.
  • Enterprise transformation, operating-model design or complex business change.
  • Multi-client operations, global delivery and partner-led execution.
  • Technology-enabled commercial models and recurring services.

The base salary range for this position is between $184,000 and $248,400. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
