About the Company

RNGD is a rapidly scaling organization emerging as a nationally recognized leader in construction through our unique Renegade mindset focused on innovation, creativity, and culture. We are creators who believe that what we build drives the growth of our cities and that fulfilling our mission requires constantly challenging the old way of doing things. Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, RNGD is building communities, teams, leaders, and a growing business throughout the Southeast, with offices in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama.

About the Role

Join RNGD’s NextGen Summer 2027 Internship Program and spend your summer gaining hands-on experience alongside the teams building some of the region’s most exciting projects. As a Project Engineer Intern, you’ll become part of an active project team and gain exposure to both project management and field operations. You’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents while learning how projects move from plans and schedules to real-world execution.

NextGen is designed to be more than a summer job. You’ll take on meaningful assignments, learn from industry professionals, build relationships across RNGD, participate in development and networking opportunities, and collaborate with fellow interns on a special NextGen internship project.

  • Comfortable taking initiative, asking questions, and owning assigned responsibilities.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, or other construction technology is a plus.

About RNGD

RNGD delivers commercial, infrastructure, and industrialized construction through a fully integrated design-build model.

Our renegade mentality challenges traditional construction, enabling us to take a vertically integrated approach eliminating delays, reducing cost overruns, and ensuring certainty in schedule, quality, and execution—from day one to closeout.

Building

Our team is built for full-scope design-build delivery. We coordinate directly with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to streamline the entire process. Our clients benefit from a single source of accountability and a proactive team that removes roadblocks and rework before they impact the build.

Infrastructure

With every road, bridge, and public space we repair and revitalize, we know our efforts move our communities forward. More than strengthening infrastructure, we’re creating the enduring foundations that future generations will come to rely upon.

Industrialized Construction

We give our clients the advantage of more efficient, consistent and cost-effective building with our industrialized construction services. Developed by RNGD, our standalone R&D division, we offer full-service custom fabrication, prefab, manufacturing, assembly, design, and technology to build faster and better.

Prefabrication

Our prefabricated exterior wall panels redefine speed to market. Engineered and manufactured in-house, our prefab systems compress dry-in timelines from six months to just two. By integrating steel framing, sheathing, and weather barrier in a single panelized solution, we eliminate on-site coordination issues, reduce waste, and accelerate project delivery—without compromising quality or aesthetics.
